23.1% → 12.5%1
A no-show is an hour you cannot sell twice
In health appointments the median no-show rate is 23.1%, and falls to 12.5% once a reminder goes out. The figures come from hospital settings, so read them as a direction, not as your clinic's number.

s. 52(3)2
PHIPAA asks for a written agreement
New Brunswick's PHIPAA requires a custodian to have a written agreement with its information manager, and to notify the patient and the Ombud after a loss or unauthorised access (s. 49(1)(c)). DeMark is run by a named person you can sign that with.
-
56.1%3
Most small health practices are not online
56.1% of Canadian micro-businesses in health and social assistance have no web presence at all — the highest of any sector. If a patient cannot find you or book you, they call the clinic that they can.

What fixes it
Each part of the system, with the plan that includes it. The labels are read from the plans themselves, so they cannot drift out of date.

Questions we get from this trade
- Is DeMark an EMR?
- No. There are no SOAP notes, no charting and no clinical templates. DeMark handles booking, reminders, clients, quotes, invoices and payments. Many clinics run it next to a clinical tool.
- Will you sign a PHIPAA information manager agreement?
- Yes — ask for it before you sign up and we will go through it with you. Section 52(3) of PHIPAA requires it, and it is a reasonable thing to ask any supplier for.
- Where is the data stored?
- On a server hosted by OVHcloud in Quebec, Canada. Backups stay on the same machine's volume. See the data page for the detail.
- Does the chatbot read patient information?
- The chat answers questions you wrote yourself and collects a name and a reason for getting in touch so a person can follow up. It does not diagnose, and we would not put clinical information through it.
- Can I get my data out?
- Yes, in one click, as JSON and as a ZIP of CSV files that open in any spreadsheet. No ticket, no wait, no fee.
